Available to order now, the five Revolucions being produced will set you back an eye-watering €2.2m (£1.8m) each – plus taxes – and you still can’t drive it on the road…

New Baby Aston?… Vantage V12 S

The Aston Martin V12 Vantage S has been revealed and it’s powered by a 565bhp V12 engine from the Vanquish

This is the Aston Martin V12 Vantage S, and it’s faster than any production Aston ever made – bar the ultra-exclusive £1m One-77 hypercar – with a 205mph top speed.

That’s 15mph faster than the standard V12 Vantage, and has been achieved by Aston fitting the Vanquish’s 6.0-litre V12, which delivers 55bhp more than the V12 Vantage, at 565bhp.

The company has also added a new engine management system and a stainless steel exhaust, and replaced the old six-speed manual gearbox with a third-generation seven-speed automated manual transmission.

Pagani’s Dream: The Huayra

What is it?

The Huayra is the all-new supercar from Pagani, and it replaces the legendary Pagani Zonda that blew our minds and stole our hearts back in 1999. Named after a warm south American wind, the “Why-rah” represents the culmination of seven years hard graft by the 57 employees at Pagani, the project having begun as long ago as 2005.

As Michelangelo once declared; “Beauty is in the details.” And in the Huayra’s case the details are exquisite, even if they have taken a while to make perfect.
